Russian Foreign Ministry: Kiev Intensified Terrorist Activities in Conjunction with Russian Presidential Elections

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that "Kiev has escalated its terrorist activities against Russian civilian facilities, coinciding with the presidential elections in order to seek more aid and weapons from the West." The ministry noted in a statement that "it is clear that the corrupt regime in Kiev has intensified its terrorist activities alongside the ongoing presidential elections in Russia to demonstrate its activity to its Western patrons and beg for more financial assistance and weapons." The statement added that "all attempts to influence the voting process through terrorist means are being recorded, and those responsible will be investigated and punished." The Foreign Ministry strongly condemned "the bloody crimes committed by the Kiev regime against civilians and civilian infrastructure," explaining that "the continued shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces on civilian infrastructure in our country aims to disrupt the expression of the people's will, intimidate the civilian population, and deprive them of the opportunity to vote."
