Strong Blow to Drug Traders in Iraq: Details Revealed

Iraqi Interior Minister Abdul Amir al-Shammari announced today, Monday, the seizure of 390 kg of narcotic substances during the month of February. Al-Shammari stated in a statement that "390 kilograms of narcotic substances were seized during February, along with 9 tons of psychoactive substances, and the arrest of 1,431 suspects involved in drug trafficking and usage, including international traders, with 16 Iraqis and 6 foreigners among them. Additionally, 124 firearms and 141 vehicles were confiscated, and two wanted individuals were killed." He added that "during these operations, we suffered one martyr and three injuries, including two officers."
