Kremlin on Negotiations with Ukraine: The Situation Has Not Changed Yet

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the situation surrounding the start of negotiations with Ukraine has not changed yet, noting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's self-imposed ban on negotiating with Russia. In response to a journalist's question, Peskov stated, "You want to discuss the details of possible negotiations, but the situation has not changed. There is the ban imposed by the Ukrainian president on conducting any negotiations with the Russian side, so questions about that are not appropriate at this time." Russian President Vladimir Putin, during his meeting with his Belarusian counterpart yesterday, stated that Moscow supports negotiations with Ukraine, but "not under any plans imposed on us or detached from reality."
