A tragic incident occurred in the Haram area of Giza, south of Cairo, where a businessman lost his life while attempting to exit an elevator during a power outage. Egyptian authorities received a report about the fall of a businessman, whose lifeless body was discovered after he tried to exit the elevator during the power cut, falling from the seventh floor.
Investigations revealed that businessman Mahmoud Khattab, a 46-year-old owner of a tourism company, was in the elevator of his residence when the power supply failed, causing the elevator to stop between the sixth and seventh floors. It was added that when he attempted to exit through the elevator door, he lost his balance and fell to the ground from the seventh floor.
It is noteworthy that the Egyptian government had decided to resume its plan to relieve the electrical grid starting last Monday, following the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
