The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement today, Tuesday, that "the country will close its embassy in Iraq on May 31." Denmark officially opened its diplomatic mission in Baghdad in 2020 to support the Danish military leadership and contribute to the NATO mission in Iraq. Since then, Copenhagen has withdrawn the majority of its troops from Iraq.
