As criticism from Democratic Party voters against President Joe Biden's policy towards Israel grows, and his failure to secure a ceasefire in Gaza continues amidst rising civilian casualties, the anger of Arab Americans, particularly Palestinians, has intensified. This has prompted Vice President Kamala Harris to sound the alarm.
Four sources familiar with the war in Gaza confirmed that the Vice President urged the administration during official meetings to work on reducing civilian casualties. She advised the administration during meetings at the White House to mitigate the anger of American Palestinians, according to The New York Times. Harris also encouraged Biden and other senior officials to show more empathy for the civilian casualties in Gaza.
Furthermore, during discussions at the White House on Monday with Benny Gantz, a member of the Israeli war cabinet and a key rival of Benjamin Netanyahu, the Vice President expressed "serious concern" regarding the situation facing civilians in Gaza, as announced by her office.
