Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraiji affirmed the Kingdom's rejection of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the necessity for an immediate ceasefire, the delivery of aid, and the prevention of the forced displacement of Gaza residents. During the Kingdom's speech at the 19th Non-Aligned Movement Summit at the leaders' level, held in the Ugandan capital Kampala, Al-Khuraiji noted that the world is witnessing a marked escalation in conflicts affecting the sovereignty and stability of nations, and countries must strive to achieve peace. He stated, "The Palestinian issue will remain present in most of our meetings until the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative." Al-Khuraiji also addressed the increase in extreme climate phenomena around the world, highlighting that the Kingdom has undertaken serious national and international initiatives, such as the Saudi Green Initiative and the Middle East Green Initiative, to reduce carbon emissions, continuing the Kingdom's environmental efforts in line with Vision 2030.
