Lebanese Chess Federation Continues Its Activities

The 2024 Individual Women's Chess Championship of Lebanon in classical chess was held under the auspices of the Lebanese Chess Federation, following the international standards of the International Chess Federation (Swiss system). After 7 rounds that lasted approximately three weeks from March 9, 2024, to March 24, 2024, at the Sporting Club in Beirut and the Ararat Club in the river area, with the participation of 15 internationally ranked players, supervised by International Arbiter Mr. Eli Holichian and Federal Arbiter Mr. Azzeddine Abou Zaher, the results were as follows:

- First place: Nadia Fawaz

- Second place: Sky Atiyeh

- Third place: Amani Ali Khan

- Fourth place: Remy Al-Asmar

- Fifth place: Sally Hamada

Mr. Joudat Shakir, the president of the Lebanese Chess Federation, along with Mrs. Nadira Fawaz, chairwoman of the Women's Committee in the Olympic Committee, Mrs. Janan Al-Khatib, chairwoman of the Women's Committee in the Lebanese Chess Federation, Mr. Ali Al-Jawish, treasurer of the federation, and federation members distributed awards and trophies to the winners, encouraging them to strive for excellence in local, regional, and international championships.
