It includes a sports walkway, children's play areas, green spaces, seating benches, and lighting poles. It has been transformed from a neglected site and a dumping ground into a new recreational outlet for families in the area."
It added that "the Baghdad Municipality has directed all municipal departments to utilize vacant spaces and convert them into green areas and recreational sites to serve as an escape for Baghdad families."
The statement noted that "the capital, Baghdad, has witnessed the execution of more than 160 parks and recreational areas during the year 2023, in addition to planting squares and median strips to increase green spaces, in compliance with the directives of the Prime Minister, aiming to reduce the impacts of climate change and improve the environment."
