FC Barcelona has opened the door to the possibility of selling one of the team's stars by the end of the current season next summer. The Catalan newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" reported that the club's management is open to selling Alejandro Baldé, the team's left-back, should they receive an enticing financial offer. The report added that this move will also depend on Baldé's willingness to leave next summer.
It noted that Baldé, who is 20 years old, signed a new contract last September that extends until the summer of 2028, which includes a buyout clause valued at one billion euros. The newspaper also clarified that Barcelona does not intend to renew Marcos Alonso's contract, which expires in June.
Additionally, the decision to potentially let Baldé go, who will miss the rest of the season due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury, is influenced by the impressive performance of young player Héctor Fort (17 years old). The report concluded that Fort and João Cancelo are the primary options to fill the left flank for Barcelona until the end of the current season.
