Unidentified individuals have released the kidnapped Syrians who were abducted this afternoon on the international road in Baalbek-Homs in the Shatt Area while they were in a Syrian public taxi heading from Chtaura to Homs. They were freed between the towns of Maqneh and Baalbek, east of the international road, after their phones and the money they had were stolen. A patrol from the Lebanese Army Intelligence transported them to the Ablah branch for investigation and to uncover the circumstances of their kidnapping. Armed men had intercepted a taxi carrying unidentified Syrians on the Riyak-Al-Qaa international road, near the intersection of the town of Shaath in northern Bekaa, and kidnapped them to an unknown location. The taxi driver managed to escape from the kidnappers, who were in a black 4x4 vehicle, a "Prado" with tinted windows and no license plates.
