Lebanon Loses Actress and Director Latifa Shamoun

The Lebanese University Institute of Fine Arts, the Actors' Syndicate, and the Syndicate of Professional Artists mourned the passing of director, actress, and university professor Latifa Jirgis Shamoun, wife of one of the prominent professors at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Antoine Zakhia, at the age of 92. The late Shamoun was a Lebanese actress, author, and director, born in Lebanon, and participated in many artistic projects, including the play "The Berber" and the play "Macbeth," translated by Khalil Mutran, as well as the play "Caligula in Deir al-Qamar." The late actress's husband passed away about a month ago.
