The artist Lobna shared a video with her fans during her journey to buy a Ramadan lantern, revealing that it was the first time she had ever bought one. Lobna began the video by saying, "This year I decided to buy a lantern for the first time, because I never had a lantern when I was young."
Later, Lobna appeared in a store selling lanterns, speaking to the seller, "I want the old Ramadan lantern; I wished I had a lantern when I was young. They never bought me toys and a lantern when I was little because I was working. Now that I’m older, I'm buying it myself." She indeed purchased a new lantern.
Afterward, Lobna left the seller without paying and found a young man riding a "Vespa." She asked him for a ride, causing the seller to chase after her, demanding payment, which she eventually gave him.
It is noteworthy that Lobna's latest work is the film "Al Shanab," which was showcased in the sixth edition of the El Gouna Film Festival. The film unfolds in a light family context, revolving around the sudden death of a family member from the Al Shanab family, prompting the family to travel to Alexandria for the funeral and mourning procedures. Over three days of mourning, this large family gathering, which includes four sisters, their children, and grandchildren, leads to comedic situations among them.
The film "Al Shanab" stars Lobna, Laila Elwi, Sawsan Badr, Asmaa Galal, Hedy Karam, Mahmoud El Bezzawy, Khalid Sarhan, Ali El Tayeb, Ibthal El Serity, Hassan Malak, Slafah Ghanem, Nourin Abu Saada, Ahmed Essam, Hiba Yasri, written by Ahmed Raouf and Islam Hossam, and directed by Ayten Amin.
