UEFA announced on Friday that it received over 20 million ticket requests from 206 countries for the Euro 2024 matches in Germany, including around 2.3 million requests for the final match alone on July 14. Germans accounted for 65% of the requests during the initial sales window, followed by fans from England, France, Spain, and Austria. The five countries outside Europe that made ticket requests were the United States, Canada, Australia, China, and Mexico, with over half a million requests from these countries. Martin Kallen, a senior UEFA official, stated, "The anticipation and excitement for Euro 2024 in Germany is growing every day." He added, "Through a simple and fair ticketing process alongside reasonable prices, we can offer fans unforgettable moments. The extraordinary number of ticket requests is a testament to the continuing appeal of the tournament and the interest of fans around the world." Approximately 2.3 million tickets were requested for the final match at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, which exceeds the stadium's capacity by 33 times. UEFA also received over 1.4 million requests for the opening match scheduled for June 14 in Munich, featuring the German national team.
