U.S. President Joe Biden announced that the results of his annual medical examinations conducted on Wednesday were good, jokingly stating that doctors see him as looking "much younger than his age." This comes as attention focuses on the fitness and mental capability of the 81-year-old president ahead of the presidential elections in November. Biden and former Republican President Donald Trump (77 years old) are preparing for a potential rematch in the upcoming elections. The White House stated that a summary of the exam results from Walter Reed Military Hospital near Washington will be published later, followed by a detailed follow-up on the health of the oldest president in U.S. history.
Responding to a question about any concerns raised by the medical examinations, Biden told reporters that the doctors "say I look much younger than my age," adding, "Everything is good." Both candidates, Biden and Trump, have accused each other of mental decline. Nikki Haley (52), the last competitor for Trump's Republican nomination for the presidential elections, stated that both men are too advanced in age to hold the presidency and should undergo cognitive tests.
Doctors stated after last year's examination that Biden was in good health and "fit for office." The examination included the removal of a skin lesion from his chest and confirmed his complete recovery from "COVID-19" symptoms after he contracted the virus in 2022.
