Dubai Mall announced today a record number of visitors in 2023, totaling 105 million, which is a 19% increase from the previous record of 88 million visitors last year. Recent statistics released by the mall indicate that it attracted about 20 million visitors in the first two months of the current year, suggesting, according to a press release issued today, the possibility of breaking new records in 2024.
Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar Properties, stated: "These figures reflect the esteemed status of Dubai Mall and demonstrate the wise leadership and strong economy of the city of Dubai." He noted that "Dubai Mall" embodies the vibrancy of the city and its dedication to excellence, as it transforms the leadership's vision into tangible reality. Alabbar affirmed: "We are an integral part of Dubai's economic infrastructure and play an active role in enhancing the city's success and development."
He added: "The significant diversity in the nationalities of the mall's visitors not only showcases its global appeal but also highlights the rich and varied cultural composition of Dubai." According to the press release, the events and promotional campaigns organized by "Dubai Mall" in 2023 and early 2024 were key drivers behind attracting that number of visitors, along with holidays, major international celebrations, and significant popular events such as the Dubai Shopping Festival, Dubai Food Festival, and major sales.
