Israeli Army Searches for Hezbollah Tunnels

Israeli Northern Command leader Ori Gordin confirmed today, Sunday, that the army is conducting serious and extensive searches for Hezbollah tunnels in Lebanon. Gordin stated, "Soldiers are carrying out serious and extensive operations to locate any type of Hezbollah infrastructure, whether above or below ground," adding, "If we find any threat there, we will not keep it a secret and will not hide it from anyone."

Gordin participated in a tour alongside local authority heads near the Lebanese border in the north and business leaders, indicating that "defense operations are based on extensive efforts to eliminate all threats that may arise along the border, aiming to strike Hezbollah's capabilities before a potential war begins."

During the tour, Gordin, while in Kibbutz Hanita in western Galilee adjacent to the Lebanese border, stated that he cannot specify a particular date for the return of Galilee residents to their homes but promised that the Israeli army is working towards that goal. He added, "We need to achieve a reality of security and a sense of safety, where there is no enemy threatening this, and this will take many days, and I do not have a date to specify," emphasizing that the Israeli army "is working step by step to reduce the scale of the threats."
