40 Contestants Compete in the Sharjah International Paragliding Championship

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the fifth edition of the Sharjah International Paragliding Championship will kick off tomorrow, Friday, in the Mleiha area of Sharjah at "Jebel Fayah," with participation from over 40 local, Gulf, and international competitors, competing over the course of Friday and Saturday.

Nasser Hamoudh Al Neyadi, President of the UAE Aeroclub, confirmed that "the concerned committees have completed their tasks in record time in an effort to achieve more gains in this edition." He added: "The technical committee has been working hard over the past period to finalize the regulations of the championship and the method of calculating electronic results to provide followers of this sport the opportunity to keep up with the events in real-time."

Efforts are being coordinated by the UAE Aeroclub, Sharjah Sports Council, and various departments and institutions in Sharjah to present a distinguished version of the championship, under the supervision of the International Aeroclub Federation.
