As firefighting teams continue to battle the massive fire that broke out early in the morning at Cairo Studio in Giza, south of the Egyptian capital, Marqus Adel, the director of the series "The Teacher," which was shooting one of its episodes at the location, commented on the incident. Adel reassured the audience: "All the cast and crew left the studio about ten minutes before the fire broke out, and thankfully everyone is safe." However, he confirmed in statements to the press on Saturday that "the decorations of the series were affected by the fire."
This incident comes as the team behind "The Teacher," starring actor Mustafa Shaaban alongside Sahar El Sayed, Ahmed Bedir, Abdel Aziz Mekhion, and others, and written by Mohamed El Shawaf, continues filming its episodes, which began airing in the current Ramadan season. It is worth noting that the fire spread to buildings near the studio, which was established in 1944 and has been a witness to the golden age of Egyptian cinema for decades, prompting civil protection forces to evacuate residents, with four individuals injured—two from the firefighting team and two civilians.
