First German Participation with Jordan in Aerial Aid Drops to Gaza

Jordan announced today, Saturday, the execution of five aerial drops of humanitarian aid for the people of Gaza, as part of an international campaign that involved Germany for the first time. A statement from the Jordan News Agency “Petra” stated that "the humanitarian aid included medical and food supplies that were dropped over several locations in the northern sector, with the participation of two C130 aircraft from the Royal Jordanian Air Force. One of them carried urgent medical supplies to the Jordanian field hospital 'Gaza 77', along with an aircraft from the Republic of Egypt, another from the United States, and one from the Federal Republic of Germany, marking its first participation with the Jordanian Armed Forces."

It added: "The Jordanian aid drop operation was carried out in cooperation with the Sultanate of Brunei, embodying Jordan's steadfast and supportive stance towards the Gaza Strip, and affirming the continuation of assistance to our Palestinian brothers in various circumstances."

The Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that they "will continue to send humanitarian and medical aid via an air bridge to deliver it through aid aircraft from Marka Airport (Queen Alia International Airport) towards Al-Arish International Airport, or through aerial drops over the Gaza Strip or land aid convoys."
