Fire at Lebanese University: Central Server Allegedly at Risk?

The media office of the Lebanese University Presidency announced that some websites reported, citing sources, that a fire affecting the electrical generator at the university's central administration caused significant damage to the central SERVER, which contains student names, grades, and records.

In a statement, the office clarified that all the published information is incorrect. Operating the registration system has not been interrupted due to securing alternative power sources immediately during the fire. The proof is that the administrative registration process continues in faculties and institutes, with students receiving emails for registration appointments.

The office also confirmed that the university's records and documents remain secure and that no damage occurred to the computational server due to the fire.
