According to "Mundo Deportivo," Barcelona is nearing an agreement on a new financial deal that will allow it to register contracts for nine players. The players involved include Gavi, Ronald Araújo, Sergi Roberto, Iñaki Peña, Marcos Alonso, Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Ilkay Gündoğan, Oriol Romeu, and Iñigo Martínez. The Spanish newspaper reports that Barcelona is close to securing a major financial deal with a German investment fund, in addition to the expected revenue from the anticipated sales of Franck Kessié and Ousmane Dembélé.
The report indicates that the negotiations with the German fund will bring 60 million euros into the Catalan club. This amount consists of 30 million euros for 8% of Barcelona Studios' shares from Orpheus Media, and another 30 million euros for 8% of Barcelona Studios' shares from Socios.com. Barcelona officials are feeling very optimistic about finalizing the deal soon, which would allow the club to register their new players' contracts ahead of their match against Getafe next Sunday, thus avoiding a disastrous start to the new season without the services of nine players.
