Japanese doctors filed a lawsuit against "Google Maps" on Thursday, due to the platform's disregard for the negative reviews they receive, which may include slander and insults, and are seeking financial compensation. About 60 Japanese doctors are demanding 1.4 million yen (approximately $9,051) from Google, which they hold responsible for failing to act to stop these comments. The doctors stated that they are unable to respond to or refute the reviews that harm their reputation due to their commitment to patient privacy. One doctor stated in a press release, "People who leave reviews online may write inaccurate ideas anonymously, even if their reviews contain only slander or insults."
