Jordanian Army Kills Two Drug Traffickers Coming from Syria

A military source responsible in the Jordanian army reported today, Monday, that "the eastern military region, in coordination with military security agencies and the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, thwarted at dawn on Monday, within its area of responsibility, an infiltration and smuggling attempt of large quantities of narcotic substances coming from Syrian territory." The source stated: "The operation resulted in the killing of two traffickers, injuries to others, and the seizure of large quantities of drugs, which were transferred to the relevant authorities." It was confirmed that "the Jordanian armed forces are determined to use all available capabilities to strike hard at anyone who attempts to tamper with national security."
