Explosions were heard in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, late on Monday following British-American airstrikes, with warplanes flying overhead. According to "Russia Today," initial reports indicated that the Delmi base north of Sana'a, the Atan area, and the Al-Hafa military camp were targeted, in addition to strikes around Sana'a.
The site reported that "U.S. airstrikes also targeted locations in Taiz, Al-Bayda, and Hajjah." Earlier, U.S. officials told CNN that the Biden administration has launched a new operation to target Houthi bases in Yemen, code-named Operation Poseidon Archer.
This operation suggests a "more organized and possibly long-term approach to U.S. operations in Yemen," with Washington stating it is hitting "Houthi infrastructure." A military official from the Ansar Allah group stated that "tonight's strikes may be the most intense on Sana'a since the beginning of the war in Gaza." There were reports of the possible death of three Houthi leaders due to the aggression.
