A joint training activity was held at the army center in Shawakir in Sous, as part of the cooperation and coordination between UNIFIL and the Lebanese Army. This training lasted for three days and was the fourth of its kind, aiming to enhance military readiness and capability. The joint training involved a variety of exercises, including both theoretical and practical aspects deemed essential for effective operations within the joint operational area. The commander of the western sector in UNIFIL, Brigadier General Enrico Fontana, visited the training facility and oversaw the joint training, emphasizing the importance of this training and the "mutual commitment between UNIFIL and the army to enhance cooperation and coordination for peace and stability in the region through these coordinated activities."
