Deputy Sami Gemayel stated that "there is nothing new in the speech of Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah." He noted, "We know that there is no decision within the axis to open all fronts. For this reason, Nasrallah disowned the events of October 7." He added, "Today, it has become increasingly clear that the official Lebanon is non-existent, the will of the Lebanese people is disregarded, as well as the opinions of legitimate institutions, and the decision is confined to Nasrallah, whose decisions are tied to the axis of resistance, unlike the Jordanian and Egyptian peoples and other nations worldwide."
Gemayel observed that "Hezbollah acts based on its own interests and those of Iran. This is not about Hamas, but about the interests of Hezbollah and Iran, and currently, Iran's interest is not to enter the war. This interest may change in the future." He also emphasized that "it is the Palestinians' right, after 75 years of oppression, to defend themselves," considering that "the situation they are in is unbearable; no people can endure this prison." He remarked, "Any form of killing children, women, and innocents is unacceptable anywhere and at any time."
Gemayel pointed out that "the solution remains with the establishment of two states and a return to the initiative of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, aimed at moving towards a peace process," asserting that "the path of blood under the government of extremism in Israel will only lead to more extremism, killing, and destruction." He confirmed "the rejection of tying the fate of the Lebanese people to that of Gaza," emphasizing that "the solution is not through paths of war, but through a path of peace."
