Minister of Public Works: We Cannot Abandon an Inch of Lebanese Territory

Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, affirmed that "Lebanon is a country that embraces all its people, has always been able to face challenges and crises, in addition to the ongoing and repeated attacks by the Israeli enemy on its people and land. It is capable of undertaking reforms and defending its sovereignty and every inch of its territory; this is through its government, army, and people alike."

During a meeting with a gathering of the Lebanese community in Switzerland at the Lebanese Embassy in Bern, at the invitation of the Lebanese Ambassador to Switzerland, Rola Nour الدين, he pointed out that "for decades, a entity has been established at our borders that harbors continuous malice towards us and continues to assault Lebanon, which is a country with sovereignty over its territory covering 10,452 square kilometers." He emphasized in this context that "we cannot relinquish even one inch of it, in all areas including the political, economic, and others."

Hamieh noted that "the Lebanese government, the Lebanese army, and the people with their diverse components made a decision to defend our country a long time ago and are still committed to it today," announcing, "We believe in justice, and that today will come when our state is strong and just at the same time."
