Al-Halabi Announces Return to the Academic Year: What About Southern Students?

Minister of Education and Higher Education Abbas al-Halabi called on students and teachers in official and private schools, high schools, and vocational and technical institutes to continue the final semester of the academic year starting Monday, after spending the holiday break. He confirmed that "schools and vocational institutions located in the southern border area will remain closed." He left it to the directors of schools and vocational institutes in areas experiencing tensions to decide whether to close or keep them open in coordination with the education directors and heads of educational zones. Al-Halabi expressed hope that everyone would make the necessary efforts in preparation for the official and final school exams.
