The Security Committee of the Northern Nile State, north of the Sudanese capital Khartoum, has decided to impose a curfew on individuals and vehicles across all localities of the state from 8 PM to 6 AM daily, starting Wednesday. The security committee also announced a ban on collective iftars and gatherings, in addition to intensifying inspections and increasing scrutiny at checkpoints while tightening security in the markets. This comes following an attack on a Ramadan iftar for the Al-Bara' bin Malik Group, which fights alongside the Sudanese army. The attack involved a drone strike at a wedding hall in the city of Atbara, northern Sudan, resulting in several deaths and injuries, some of which are serious. The identity of those behind the incident remains unclear, and the Sudanese army has not issued any comment regarding the incident so far. It is widely believed that "Al-Bara' Battalion" is one of the most well-trained and well-armed Muslim Brotherhood battalions, consisting of youth groups aged between 20 and 35 years.
