The Saudi Ministry of Health celebrated the completion of the first phase of the health sector transformation by launching 20 health clusters in various regions of the Kingdom. This achievement is reflected in the health care model that has realized many gains, leading to improvements in health indicators, in the presence of Health Minister Fahd Al-Jalajel. In his speech, Al-Jalajel praised the wise leadership's support for the health system in the Kingdom and the opportunities it has provided for completing the health transformation, which many experts attest to being the best transformation in the world.
He announced the completion of the first phase of the health transformation with promising results and health and digital achievements, including a reduction in traffic accident fatalities by half, as well as the World Health Organization's praise for the dietary policies adopted by the Kingdom to enhance community health and well-being. Additionally, the average life expectancy has increased to 77.6 years, with a target to reach 80 years by 2030.
The Health Minister also announced the start of the second phase of the health transformation characterized by "quality," which is the most important and impactful phase. This phase aims for the actual transition of health clusters to the Holding Health Company. He expressed gratitude to all those who contributed to the completion of the first phase and to the health heroes for their efforts and dedication.
It is noteworthy that the event was part of the Healthcare Model Forum, which aims to promote health and make individuals and their families partners in the responsibility for maintaining their health. This is in line with the Ministry's efforts to facilitate access to health services, improve them, and contribute to achieving the objectives of the health sector transformation program to reach a vibrant community and a comprehensive, effective, and integrated health system based on individual and community health, according to the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
