The new administration of the National Conservatory has recently begun an audit and investigation "in an effort to uncover the fate of several musical instruments that were donated to the conservatory or purchased by the institute, after it became evident that there was a shortage of these instruments and that they were missing. A request was made for the existing instruments to be returned from the professors, students, and musicians in order to conduct an accurate inventory of the lost instruments." After President Hiba Al-Qawas announced this, "the results of the investigation were preempted by someone inciting a nearby media outlet to write an article attributing the theft of these instruments to the late Dr. Walid Ghalmiyeh. It is important to emphasize that these instruments were still present at the institute at a date subsequent to the passing of the late Ghalmiyeh." Minister of Oversight, Judge Mohamed Wisam Al-Mortada, has been informed of this matter and has directed the new conservatory administration to proceed with thorough auditing and investigation to take necessary action.
