Warning Strike by Contract Professors at Lebanese University

The official committee of hourly contract professors at the Lebanese University has decided to announce a one-day warning strike across all faculties and institutes of the university on Monday, May 13. They indicated that they are in the process of announcing a general and comprehensive strike after consulting their colleagues and obtaining their mandate. The committee called for a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education at 11 AM on the upcoming Monday, "to express the contractors' rejection of the unjustified delay in approving permanent positions and to urge the university council to resume initiative and push the file toward its conclusion."
