Iraq: Launch of Social Aid Salary for May

Iraqi Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ahmed Al-Asadi announced today, Thursday, the launch of the social aid salary for the current month of May. The statement noted that "Al-Asadi announced the release of social aid salaries for May for more than two million and (126) thousand families, with a total amount exceeding (465) billion dinars." Al-Asadi also indicated that "the student grant will be launched in the coming hours," urging families to "visit the dispensing points to receive their aid." The head of the Social Protection Authority, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, confirmed in the statement that "the number of families supported by men exceeded more than one million and (559) thousand families, with an amount totaling more than (377) billion dinars, while the number of families supported by women exceeded (567) thousand, with an amount totaling more than (87) billion dinars."
