Yazidi survivor Rosita Haji has revealed the atrocities committed by the organization during her captivity with other enslaved women. In an interview with Al Arabiya/Al Hadath, the young woman wept as she confirmed that the Daesh leader Abu Julaibib raped her when she was under 12 years old. She stated that the wife of the said leader was the one who demanded him to rape her.
Haji emphasized that her young age prevented her from understanding or grasping what was happening around her, which is why the memories of the rapes she endured at the hands of the Daesh remain etched in her mind. She noted that she was bound with chains on her hands and feet during the assaults and that she suffered from severe bleeding, particularly given that she was a child at the time of the attack.
Haji disclosed that she did not comprehend what was happening to her, feeling as though she was living a nightmare, and indicated that the acts of rape occurred multiple times until the alleged leader was killed. Haji was not the only one to suffer such crimes; another Yazidi survivor, Adiba Murad, echoed similar sentiments, asserting that "Daesh women were worse than their men."
In her statements to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath, she also mentioned that the wife of Abu Salah Al-Maghribi was preparing her for rape as well.
