The UAE Cabinet has directed that tomorrow, Tuesday, will be a remote work day for all federal government employees, with exceptions for roles requiring on-site presence, in consideration of the current weather conditions in the UAE. The National Center of Meteorology expects unstable weather to continue tomorrow, characterized by cumulus clouds and varying intensity of rainfall in different areas, along with a noticeable drop in temperatures. Winds are expected to be moderate to active, and at times strong, especially with passing clouds, which may lead to dust and reduced visibility.
The center stated in its daily report that wind will shift from the southeast to northwest at speeds of 25 to 35 km/h, reaching up to 70 km/h. The waves in the Arabian Gulf are described as turbulent and severely disturbed with the presence of clouds.
The Human Resources Department in Sharjah has announced the transition to remote work for all employees of Sharjah government departments, authorities, and institutions tomorrow, due to the weather conditions, once again excluding roles that need physical presence at the workplace.
This decision is made to ensure public safety amidst heightened readiness to respond to the anticipated weather impacts while continuously monitoring developments and maintaining vital service procedures.
The local emergency and crisis management team in Sharjah advises caution when driving during rain and weather fluctuations, staying away from areas prone to flooding, and warns the public against approaching valleys, mountains, and engaging in sea activities.
