An informed Indian and Israeli source indicated that "Israeli military exports to India, its largest buyer of defense equipment, have not been impacted by the war in Gaza." India has imported military equipment worth $2.9 billion from Israel over the past decade, including radar systems, surveillance aircraft, combat drones, and missiles. However, the Israeli source and a senior Indian military official stated that "Israel's war needs have not conflicted with its defense supplies to India." The Israeli source mentioned that "Israeli operations have created an increased need for ammunition, but this did not affect exports of radar systems of the type exported to India." Furthermore, the Indian official pointed out that "Israel has been keen to provide a steady supply of weapons purchased by New Delhi, which also includes components for drones." Israel launched its military operations in the Gaza Strip, which have been ongoing for months, following an attack by militants from Gaza, governed by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on southern Israel on October 7, which Israel claims resulted in the deaths of 1,200 people and the capture of 253 hostages. Since then, more than 29,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to Gaza's health ministry.
