Frontska: The United Nations Will Support All Efforts to Calm the Situation

The United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Frontska, visited the "AAMAL International Foundation" today and met with its president, Dr. Kamel Mahna, in a farewell visit before the end of her mission in Lebanon. The discussion focused on "urgent humanitarian issues in Lebanon and the region, including developments in southern Lebanon and responding to the needs of people, especially the displaced from border villages, as well as 'AAMAL's' programs that care for them and ensure their access to rights in partnership with UN agencies," according to a statement from the foundation. Frontska emphasized "the necessity of working together for the benefit of Lebanon and considering humanitarian issues as a priority," asserting that "the United Nations will support all efforts aimed at calming the situation and implementing laws and international resolutions, including UN Security Council Resolution 1701. Many member states of the Security Council intend to strengthen Lebanon's resilience and support it and are working towards achieving that."
