The Syrian army announced early on Friday that several civilians and military personnel were killed in an Israeli attack targeting various sites in the Aleppo countryside. A statement from the Syrian Ministry of Defense stated: "Around 1:45 AM, the Israeli enemy launched an aerial aggression from the direction of Athria, southeast of Aleppo, targeting several points in the Aleppo countryside, coinciding with a drone attack carried out by terrorist organizations from Idlib and the western Aleppo countryside in an attempt to target civilians in the city of Aleppo and its surroundings. The aggression resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of civilians and military personnel, as well as material losses to public and private property."
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that violent explosions occurred due to the Israeli targeting of missile depots in the Jebrin area near Aleppo International Airport and shared a video of the incident on the platform "X". The Observatory also indicated that similar explosions were heard in Sefera and Kafr Joum west of Aleppo. They confirmed that more than 36 people were killed in the Israeli strikes on the weapon depots, including at least 5 members of Hezbollah.
