The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants announced in a statement that it strongly condemns the "Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate building in Damascus," emphasizing that "targeting diplomatic premises and missions constitutes a willful violation of international law and a serious breach of the Vienna Conventions on Diplomatic and Consular Relations, which guarantee the inviolability and sanctity of diplomatic premises." The ministry expressed "sincere condolences to the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and to the families of the victims," wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded and injured. It pointed out that "this dangerous escalation in violating laws and international norms inevitably threatens regional and international peace and security."
