Sources from "Al-Arabiya" reported today, Friday, that there is a consensus on a humanitarian exchange deal between Hamas and Israel. The sources confirmed that there is an agreement to release Palestinian female prisoners and children held by Israel in exchange for 100 female prisoners and children held by Hamas.
Information emerged regarding the ongoing multilateral talks—and Qatar's significant mediating role—that have been underway for weeks. These discussions have already produced several ideas, including the possibility of releasing approximately 10 to 15 hostages in exchange for a ceasefire lasting one or two days, according to diplomatic sources close to the negotiations on Wednesday.
However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated two days ago his refusal to agree to a ceasefire unless many hostages are released. He stated, "I want to deny any kind of rumors coming to us from all directions, to reiterate one clear thing: There will be no ceasefire without the release of our hostages. Everything else is pointless."
This has led several insiders to clarify that Israeli leadership has requested that the number of prisoners be significant enough to consider agreeing to any deal.
