Counterfeit Dollar Dealer Arrested by Security Forces

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that in the context of ongoing efforts to combat robbery, theft, counterfeit currency, and drug trafficking across various Lebanese regions, and following an increase in these crimes, information was received by the Court Police Unit's Baabda detachment about a Syrian national arriving on a passenger bus from Cola to the town of Jadra, carrying counterfeit American currency.

As a result of monitoring and surveillance, one of the unit’s patrols successfully arrested him in the mentioned area through a well-coordinated ambush. It turned out that he was named S. H. (born in 1994, Syrian). The directorate indicated that he was found in possession of a counterfeit amount of American currency totaling $2,550 in fake fifty-dollar bills, and $200 in fake hundred-dollar bills. During interrogation, he confessed to the charges against him. The necessary legal procedures were initiated, and he was detained along with the seized items, based on judicial instructions.
