Assad Contacts Raisi: The Entity Was Built on Bloodshed

Syrian President Bashar Assad expressed his condolences to Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi during a phone call regarding the death of several military advisors from the Iranian Revolutionary Guard during the Israeli strike on the Tehran consulate in the Syrian capital, Damascus. The Syrian presidency stated that "President Assad expressed, on his behalf and on behalf of the Syrian people, deep sympathy and condolences for this great loss to the families of the martyrs and the dear Iranian people." Assad also confirmed to his Iranian counterpart that "the actions of the Zionist entity in targeting a diplomatic mission in an area crowded with civilians are not surprising, as this entity was built on murder, bloodshed, displacement, and plunder." He added that "the ongoing genocide and massacres in Gaza for over six months are the clearest evidence of the brutality of this entity." For his part, Raisi confirmed during the call, according to a statement from the Iranian presidency, that "this terrorist and criminal act is an indication of the profound despair and helplessness of the Zionist entity." He emphasized that "the punishment for the perpetrators of this crime is inevitable and unavoidable."
