Jihad Bqradoni, the chairman of the board of trustees, has resigned, stating in his resignation: "The story started a long time ago, a dream, a planning story, a story of perseverance, a story of hard work and effort with winnings and losses, with ups and downs, a journey that began with the late Antoine Choueiri and will not end with the semi-finals of the 2023 Lebanon Championship. Al-Hikma is not just a club, nor just players, fields, coaches, and fans; Al-Hikma is history, a memory. Al-Hikma is resistance and struggle, Al-Hikma is a breath of fresh air and hope, Al-Hikma is spirit, and the spirit never dies.
The season was more than wonderful; we cried, we laughed, we lost, we won, we worked, we cheered, we critiqued, and we celebrated. The important thing is that I and Professor Nadim Murad have fulfilled our conscience towards our history and this prestigious club, towards our players, our great efforts, towards our fans, and our good spirit and unprecedented loyalty.
We returned from far away; Al-Hikma has become the challenging number, the champion club that shakes the world with its victories and learns and gains lessons from its losses. This is sports, and our spirit is athletic. The important thing is that we gave everything we had; the title isn't important, the spirit is, and the spirit will continue to shout Al-Hikma.
