The Israeli army announced today, Wednesday, that trucks loaded with food aid have entered the besieged Gaza Strip from Ashdod port for the first time since the government approved the opening of the port for shipments. The statement clarified that "eight trucks loaded with flour, belonging to the World Food Programme, entered the Gaza Strip from Ashdod port today." The army stated that the trucks underwent security checks at the port before being allowed to enter Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing controlled by Israel.
