Emirati champion Rashed Al-Mulla gifted a new title to his country after securing first place in the opening round of the World Jet Ski Championship, held in the city of Quy Nhon, Vietnam, last night. Al-Mulla won the freestyle title in the championship after delivering the best freestyle performance in the competition, earning the highest score of 47 points to top the overall rankings. Last year’s world champion, Italian Roberto Mariani, secured second place with the same score, while Portuguese Paulo Nunes came in third with 40 points.
The competition began on Saturday, where Al-Mulla achieved second place, and continued on the second day yesterday, during which the Emirati champion claimed first place, confirming his title after evaluating the best performances and stability during the freestyle event.
The Emirati star made a strong start in the championship, aiming to reclaim the title he won five times, the last being in 2022, a record that makes him the best among all participants. It is worth noting that the next round will take place in Olbia, Italy, next June, and it will be one of the key stops in the competition for the world title, given the expected large turnout from all competitors.
