Ukrainian officials reported today, Thursday, that "Russia launched an attack on areas in southern Ukraine overnight using 42 drones and six missiles, resulting in the death of a civilian and damage to grain storage facilities near the Danube River." Emergency services indicated that the civilian casualty occurred due to a nighttime missile strike in the Kherson region, which destroyed a medical facility, a private house, and a garage. The Ukrainian Air Force announced that 41 out of the 42 Shahed 136/131 attack drones launched overnight were intercepted, most of them in the Odesa region. The military stated that the wreckage of the downed drones caused damage to more than 12 buildings in the coastal city of Odesa on the Black Sea and injured 11 civilians, including three children. Odesa region governor Oleg Kiper noted on Ukrainian television that "after the bombardment of Odesa was completed, the drones moved to the Danube region, causing damage to the grain storage facilities."
