Ministry of Labor Moves Towards Digital Transactions

As part of the three-year digital transformation plan, Mustafa Beirum, the Minister of Labor in the caretaker government, launched a strategy to replace traditional paperwork with digitization. Beirum explained to "Wardna" that the goal is to ease processes for the public and build trust with employees in public administrations. He introduced the slogan "Facilitating Transactions" to simplify matters through electronic services due to the difficult circumstances, ensuring that citizens do not have to make multiple visits to the ministry to complete the required transactions.

He added that "all aspects included in the three-year digital transformation plan are based on volunteerism and transparency without costing the state's treasury a single lira," reaffirming that "the aim is also to restore citizens' trust in state administrations and give them a glimmer of hope amidst the problems and crises plaguing the country."

In turn, Yaqub Mari, the official of the website at the Ministry of Labor, emphasized to "Wardna" that the transaction process will proceed as follows: "Upon the minister's approval of the transaction, an SMS will be sent to the concerned party stating: 'Dear citizen, your transaction has been signed, please do not pay any additional fees,' to protect the citizen from any extortion occurring outside the ministry. Thus, they can come and collect their transaction after 72 hours, by which time the employee will have completed it fully."

Regarding the second service, he continued: "It is the 'QR CODE' service related to recruitment offices, where an office representative submits the transaction and collects it in a complete form during the second visit," emphasizing that these services are free and aim to facilitate transactions for citizens.
