Israeli Singer Idan Amedi Sends Message to Government After Gaza Injury (Video)

After leaving the hospital and recovering from an injury he sustained in Gaza while serving in the Israeli army, Israeli singer Idan Amedi sent a message to the Israeli government, urging it to prioritize the issue of prisoners. He pointed out the danger of Jewish people feeling unsafe and untrusting in the land of Israel, stating: "The Jewish person came to this land because he was told there is no killing or rape here... In order to restore this image, we must first recover the prisoners."

Idan Amedi, who was injured during the Israeli army's attack on the Gaza Strip and sustained serious injuries from shrapnel in various parts of his body, is known for his role in the Netflix series "Fauda." He was born in February 1988 in occupied Jerusalem, with Kurdish roots. Before starting his artistic career, he was a taekwondo champion in Israel in 2005. Amedi joined the army as a reserve soldier in the engineering corps five days after the launch of "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood," actively engaged in searching for and destroying tunnels.

On the artistic front, he is a star of the Israeli television series "Fauda" and has produced five music albums to date, often ending his concerts with a song in Kurdish. On October 12, he announced through his official account on the platform "X" (formerly Twitter) that he had been called up to join the reserves: "As you can see, I’m dressed a little differently today. This is not a scene from 'Fauda.' This is the reality of life." Before his injury, Amedi had shared a video of himself detonating a building in the Gaza Strip.
