The former Deputy Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Eli Farzli, stated that "Israel is carrying out systematic execution and destruction against the Palestinian people," referring to the hostilities in the Gaza Strip, including the recent targeting of the Baptist Hospital, which resulted in the deaths of thousands of Palestinians. In an interview with "Wardana," Farzli pointed out that "the victory achieved by the Palestinian resistance in Gaza on all levels marks a victory that has put the Israeli entity on the path to its end and fall." He noted that "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood indicates that the Palestinian people can achieve a profound and genuine victory," highlighting that Hamas managed to penetrate deep into Israeli territory by land, sea, and air during the first days of its attack using non-military tools such as motorcycles, ordinary boats, parachutes, and locally made air defense systems.
Regarding the situation in the south and the skirmishes between Hezbollah and the Israeli side, he emphasized that "the Islamic resistance is handling the events in the south on a piecemeal basis and in a manner that does not lead to Lebanon sliding into a large war."
With the announcement of the United States' readiness to support Israel in any military war it engages in the region and the arrival of American warships off the coast of Israel, Farzli expressed that these ships were "called in to restore the morale of the Israeli people, who have begun to leave Israel, and that American intervention is merely an attempt to solidify Israel's role in the region to protect its interests."
Regarding the possibility of Iranian military intervention in Palestine, Farzli told our site: "What is the need for Iranian intervention as long as the resistance operation is being carried out by Palestinian hands on Palestinian land and within the framework of the legitimate rights of its people." Earlier, Iran had stated that "the continuation of crimes against Palestinians will elicit a response from other axes, and Israel will bear responsibility for the consequences."
